S M MOMINUL I A J's How is Sonar Bangla poem highlights the overall situation of the country.

In Bengali:

                       কেমন আছে সোনার বাংলা 
                                   এস এম মোমিনুল আই এ জে

দেশ আজ এমন এক অবস্থায় চলে গেছে
মৌলিক চাহিদা পূরণ করতে হিমশিম খাচ্ছে 
দেশের বেশিরভাগ মানুষ। 
যাতায়াতের বাড়া বৃদ্ধি 
গ্যাস, পানি, বিদ্যুৎ বিল লাগামহীন বৃদ্ধি, 
নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় দ্রব্যমূল্যের দাম ঊর্ধ্বগতি
দেশের মানুষের নেই কোনো গতি।
তিন বেলার খাবার এক বেলা বা দুই বেলা খেয়ে 
কেউ কেউ বাঁচে। 
রাস্তার অনাহারী কুকুরগুলো মধ্যরাত্রি 
ক্ষুধায় ঘেউ ঘেউ করে কাঁদে।
আকাশের পাখিরা শহর ছেড়ে নিরুদ্দেশ
শহুরে কাকগুলো এখন আর ডাকে না
দুই তিনটি বাসায় রান্না করতে যাওয়া মাসিটি 
আজ এই শহরে থাকে না। 
ভালবাসার মানুষগুলোকে 
ঘন ঘন পার্কে দেখা যায় না।

শহরে শহরে অসহায় অনাথ শিশু, নারী, পুরুষ ও বৃদ্ধ 
রাত্রি যাপন করে রাস্তায়,
বেশিরভাগ হয় পথভ্রষ্ট আর নষ্ট।
বস্ত্রহীন, খাদ্যহীন, গৃহহীন ও আশ্রয়হীন মানুষ 
মানবেতর জীবনযাপন-
কষ্ট পায় শীত, রোদ বৃষ্টি ঝড়ে।
বিকাল, সন্ধ্যা রাতে পাগলের হয় কোলাহল 
রাস্তার পাগলীটিও মা হয়, 
এই সমাজ, এই দেশের নেই কি কোনো দায়
সর্বহারা ভাতে মরে প্রায়ই দেখা যায়।

শিক্ষা ধ্বংস প্রশ্ন ফাঁস অহরহ 
পড়ালেখা ও পরীক্ষা না দিয়েই পাস
পরীক্ষার আগের দিন হয় প্রশ্ন ফাঁস। 
চালু হয় অটো পাস,
জিপিএ জিপিএ খেলায় কেউ খায় বাঁশ 
ভিতরে শিক্ষার আলো নেই বটে উপরে উপরে টাসটুস
চাকুরি নিতে ঘুস ও দুর্নীতি গরিব বাবা-মা হয় বেহুস!

চিকিৎসায় অকারণে টেস্ট, অতিরিক্ত ঔষধ 
ডাক্তার, কোম্পানি, মেডিকেল, ডায়াগনস্টিকের চুক্তি
সময় মতো লভ্যাংশ চলে যায় যার যার পকেটে উপরি। 
অন্যদিকে গরিব ও নিরীহ মানুষ 
বিনা চিকিৎসায় মরতে হয় হাসপাতালের বেডে।

মাসের পর মাস গতর খেটে যায় শ্রমিক 
তারপরও সবসময় দুই তিন মাসের 
বেতন আটকানো থাকে বাকি, 
সুযোগ পেলে ম্যানেজার ও জিএম টাকা মেরে দেয় ফাঁকি। 
রেশন ও বেতন বৃদ্ধির বেলায় নেই কোনো তদারকি  
শ্রমিক নেতারা করে আন্দোলন বাড়াবাড়ি 
মাঝখানে ফায়দা লুটে নেয় কিছু অসাধু কারবারী।

The country has gone to such a state today

Struggling to meet basic needs

Most people in the country.

Increased traffic

Unbridled increase in gas, water, electricity bills

Prices of daily essentials are on the rise

The people of the country have no momentum.

Three meals eat a meal or two

Some live.

Street starving dogs midnight

Barks and cries with hunger.

The birds of the sky are missing to leave the city

Now urban crows no longer call

Aunty went to cook in two or three houses

Today does not live in this city.

Lover’s people

Not often seen in parks.


City to city helpless orphaned children, women, men and old people

Spend the night on the road

Most are misguided and wasted.

People without clothes, food, house and shelter

Inhumane living

Suffers from winter, sun and rain.

In the afternoon, evening and night there is a crazy noise

The madwoman of the street is also a mother

This society, this country has no any responsibility

Proletarians are often seen dying of rice.


Education destroyed and questions are often leaked

Pass without study and exam

Questions are leaked on the day before the exam.

Auto pass is launched,

Someone fall foul of in the GPA GPA game

There is no light of education inside but above and above tastus

Bribery and corruption to take a job poor parents are unconscious!


Unnecessary tests in treatment, additional medication

Doctors, companies, medical, diagnostic contracts

Over time, the extra dividend goes to everyone's pocket.

On the other hand, poor and innocent people

Had to die in a hospital bed without treatment.


Month after month, the workers go to work

Still always two or three months

Salary remains withheld,

Managers and GMs cheat when they get the chance.

There is no supervision over ration and salary increment

Labor leaders extravagance the movement

Some unscrupulous traders take advantage in the middle.

Column-কলাম | রাজনীতি প্রসঙ্গ-The context of politics | A uthor S M MOMINUL I A J-লেখক এস এম মোমিনুল আই এ জে | Click Here~ রাজনীতি প্রসঙ্গ-The context of politics In Bengali and English~ In Bengali: কিছুদিন আগে, কিছু দিন বলতে ২০১৭-২০১৮ খ্রিষ্টাব্দের কথা “বাংলাদেশ রাজনীতি প্রসঙ্গ” শিরোনামে একটি কলাম লিখেছিলাম। কয়েকটি “অনলাইন নিউজপোর্টালে” কলামটি প্রকাশিত হয় কিন্ত কলামটি আপলোড দেওয়ার ৩০ মিনিটের মধ্যে ডিলিট করে দেওয়া হয়। সম্পাদকদের কাছে এর কারণ জানতে চাইলে বলে সরকার “ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইন“ করেছে আর আপনি তো জানেনই আমরা কতটা চাপে আছি, কি আর করা এখানে আর কিছুই বলার থাকলো না।  একইভাবে কয়েকটি দৈনিক পত্রিকার সম্পাদক লেখাটি পছন্দ করলেও প্রকাশ করার সাহস পায়নি। এখানে কলামটির কিছু লেখা তুলে ধরলাম। আমি কোনো ব্যক্তি বা দলের পক্ষে বা বিপক্ষে বলিও নাই, লিখিও নাই। আসলে আমি বুঝাতে চেয়েছি আমাদের বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতিতে যে দল ক্ষমতায় আসে সে দলই সুস্থ ধারার রাজনীতি চর্চার বদলে অসুস্থ ধারা ও অপরাজনীতির চর্চায় মত্ত থাকে বেশী। এই লেখার কারণে কেউ কষ্ট পাইলে আমার কিছু করার নেই। যা সত্য তা তুলে ধরলাম। আমাকে...
